Catherine Simmons

 

Catherine has received a Bachelors degree of Music from Florida State University,

and a Master of Music in Violin from the esteemed Boston Conservatory along

with a Master of Music in Chamber music from The University of South Florida.

She is a registered Suzuki teacher with experience in both private lessons and

group instruction. She has played Master Classes for Martin Chalifour, Pamela Frank,

Ani Kavafian and Bayla Keyes, and has played the Baroque violin in master classes for

Marilyn McDonald, Riccardo Minasi and Stanley Ritchie. She has attended

Meadowmount Music Festival and The Aspen Music Festival. She has also

played with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra,

Emmanuel Music, The Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and our own

Florida Orchestra.  She has studied with such fine teachers as Katie Lansdale,

Carolyn Stuart, Bonnie Bewick and Karen Clarke.
