Preston Beebe 
Percussion Instructor
Preston Beebe graduated from Lakewood Ranch HS in 2006 receiving
the coveted John Phillips Sousa Award,which is awarded to the most
outstanding graduating
music student. During high
school Preston consistently earned superior ratings in solo and ensemble
competitions and earned a snare drum position with the prestigious
Bands of America Honor Band, a band comprised of the nations most
outstanding musicians.
He has since graduated The University of South Florida with a Bachelors degree in Percussion Performance,
Music Composition,
and Electronic
Music . Preston has studied privately
with Bob McCormick, Steve Davis, and Bruce Lehman.
Preston specializes in playing Drum Set and Mallets and is an
active musician in the area; playing with various jazz groups, big
bands, and rock bands.
As a composer he composes chamber
music ,
experimental
music , and jazz.
Preston has a positive outlook and never accepts the word,
"Can't". He will open your eyes to a whole new way of playing
music
and help you reach your fullest potential.
Sean
Moats 
Percussion Instructor
Sean is a Graduate of The University Of South Florida and has
received his Bachelors Degree in Percussion Performance.
Sean is adept in all styles of percussion, and specializes in Drum
Set and Mallet Percussion, and has played for variety of Broadway shows
including "Hairspray", "Little Shop of Horrors" and "My Fair Lady".
Sean has also played with Aretha Franklin, Styx, Clay Aiken, Michael
Bolton, Susan Lucci, Donna Summer and Regis Philbin.
He has also played with The Southwest Florida Symphony and a
variety of others ranging from Big Band to Rock and Roll and all styles
in between.
Sean is also an Elementary music teacher, and we are proud to have him here at Don Banks Music.
Lorna Anderson
Piano & Voice Instructor
Lorna Anderson has taught piano and voice privately since 1991 and
currently teaches approximately 40 students per week.
She studied piano starting at age three, studied with Ruth
Thompson, Robert Smith, Mildred Ward, with voice studies with Dr. Elmer
Hintz Cameron Horne and Jerald Reynolds, studied organ with Kathleen
Deedmeyer, and continues her studies with Church
Music
Workshops sponsored annually by The Fellowship of United Methodist.
Experience
Besides her private teaching schedule, Lorna also plays the Piano & Organ for Keystone United Methodist Church, where she provides accompaniment worship services and rehearsals and occasionally plays hand-bells and sings with the choir.

- Provided organ and piano music at all
services, accompany adult choir at rehearsal and services, accompanied
soloists, instrumental ensembles, and Children's Choir.
- Assisted Belinda Womack with Performance Choir providing
piano accompaniment for performances and rehearsals.
Forest Hills United Methodist Church June 1994 – 2000
- Organist – Provide organ and piano music
at all services, accompany adult choir at rehearsal and services,
accompany soloist and instrumental ensembles. Major works performed
include Handel's “Messiah” , “Faure””, Vivaldi's “Gloria”, Bach's
“Cantata #78”, Haydn's “Missa Brevis in F”. Supervise maintenance of
pipe organ, pianos and electronic instruments. Also provide keyboard
accompaniment and special music for weekly
contemporary worship services.
- Children's Choir Director – Selected and teach music
to children's choir (k-5) and occasionally to youth choir,
incorporating music theory instruction; direct and
accompany anthems and produce an annual Christmas production.

John Hernandez

Piano Instructor
John has over 15 years of experience performing as a Soloist, accompanist and chamber musician, and of course teaching private students of all ages and levels. John has a degree in Piano Performance from The University of Louisville and a Masters Degree from The University of South Florida. He is also a member of The Music Teachers National Association, National Federation of Music Clubs and The National Guild of Piano Teachers. We are pleased to have John join our teaching family at Don Banks Music.
