Lorna Anderson
Piano and Voice


Lorna - has taught Piano and voice for a number of years and currently teaches approximately 40 students a week.


She studied piano starting at age three, studied with Ruth Thompson, Robert Smith, Mildred Ward with voice studies with Dr. Elmer Hintz, Cameron Horne and Jerald Reynolds. She studied organ with Kathleen Deedmeyer and continues her studies with Church Music workshops, sponsored annually by The Fellowship of United Methodists.


Besides her private teaching schedule, Lorna plays the Piano and Organ for Keystone United Methodist Church, where she provides accompaniment for the worship services and rehearsals. She previously taught Pre-School Music at Keystone Christian Pre-School.


Lorna has played for The Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Forest Hills United Methodist Church where, besides being the Accompanist, she was also the children's choir, director and Bible School music teacher, as well as Hand Bell Choir Director.

She worked for a period of time in customer service at Heads House of Music.

Lorna has also been an accompanist with dinner theater and Performance Preparatory Childrens Theater Group.

Lorna has sung as a Soprano soloist with The Tampa Oratorio Society, performing Handel's "Messiah", Orff's "Carmina Burana", Mendelelssohn's "Elijah" and Rutter's "Requiem". 

She also regularyly performs at Tampa City Center.
